Welcome to Nowhere !

This web page has been created in a real hurry (if you are smart you would tell), so please excuse any broken links and missing images (specially the typos). Actually I have been too tied down with work to create a decent web page (yep, the standard excuses ).

A little about myself , personality (brief)
A technology infected nerd, I prefer hanging around with geek boxes, gadgets and gizmos (because I feel like god there) and also they always don't talk back. I am a Mr. FixItAll and a perfectionist (well trying to get there), where work is concerned, and try to do a good job when I do something, just to be proud of what I have done. I have a very sadistic and sarcastic sense of humor ( maybe comes from reading too many MAD comics), that projects me as a weirdo to all normal people, (including my girl friend). I have a passion for any technology followed by music and movies (on-screen mainly). I love reading novels (fiction, the spy stuff), not that I get enough time now. I enjoy any adrenalin pumping sport (quick and dirty thrill stuff) , that includes bungee jumping, sky diving (not done it yet), go-carting etc. I also enjoy easy sport like pool, chess and changing channels on the TV remote control.
Professional life ( super brief)
This would be too bloody long, I had a big problem compressing my CV to 3-4 pages, (who has time to read 7-10 pages of crap anyway). You could view the html version, the Microsoft Word 7.0 version, or a rich text format version and a ASCII Text version for those portability issues. Anyway, in professional work I have a lot of varied skills. I have actually done coding from low level languages like assembly (x85/6), through to mid/high level languages like C, Pascal, right up to 4GLs RDBMS's like Oracle. A lot of low level programming was done during my college days (and a little after that), so I am quite out of touch with most of the gory nasty stuff. Post college, I did a couple of small systems programming projects and then moved to technical support, so mastered hardware and networking doing the same. Since there was no money  to made in systems programming and technical support (rough days), I migrated to database programming (quick and easy money), done a lot of work there and have created a lot of database applications.  Database applications soon become too easy so I then moved on the mainly designing and managing the projects. All along I had this affinity for networking and systems integration and desired to do a lot more, so I started a consultancy company, made a lot of customers, managed a lot of good projects and soothsayed programmers while running the company (there is longer story to that one, but that would be a book on its own). Then came the Internet and that became my latest new challenge, so keeping in touch with technology I sold a lot of internet/intranet solutions, including web hosting. (which still happens to be on). This went on  till a old-friend of mine got me an project offer in Europe with Siemens Nixdorf UK and British Telecom worldwide, Amsterdam. Well that's where I got to expand my knowledge beyond my dreams (figuratively speaking). Now my best friends are sun boxes, routers and other network equipment. I was in Europe for about 21/2 years and finally moved to the US. I currently am a Systems Administrator working with Barclays Global Investors at San Francisco. (If you are still reading, you really must not have anything else to do, Im tired writing)
